810nm Diode Laser System Introduction
The HS-817 Diode Laser system is intended for hair removal and permanent hair reduction. It is intended for use on all skin types (Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI), including tanned skin.
The hair removal procedure is based upon the principle of selective photothermolysis. This method involves disabling hair regrowth mechanisms, by raising the temperature of the hair follicle high enough to damage the germinative cells without damaging the epidermis and the surrounding tissues. The germinative cells are those cells which divide and differentiate to become the cells comprising the hair follicle.
How does 755nm + 810nm diode laser work?
755nm + 810nm diode laser penetrates into the dermis, and is absorbed by the targeted melanin in the hair follicles. This will form enough thermal energy to destroy the targeted follicular epithelium because of the laser-induced photothermal effect. In contrast, the surrounding skin tissue is spared due to lack of melanin. This way, the surrounding skin remains intact, while the hair follicles are selectively affected, which leads to non-invasive treatment.
